About
Ryan Maples is an independent Director, Producer, Editor and Writer. He is co-founder of Thrillhouse Productions and is a producer with Xlantic, a media group based out of Los Angeles & London. A graduate of USC School of Cinema-Television and based in Los Angeles, Maples' projects including writing and directing comedic shorts and commercials, feature film scripts, music videos and music documentaries. He has directed music videos for indie music acts So Many Wizards, Seasons, & Casey Comstock, and edited a 12-part web documentary on Apl.De.Ap from the multi-platinum selling group The Black Eyed Peas.Maples has won awards for both his narrative shorts and corporate work. His short comedy film, Indestructible, played the festival circuit winning the audience award at the Dam Short Film Festival. In 2011 he was a finalist in the Nokia & Vimeo filmmaking challenge where his work premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. In 2012 his spec commercial for AT&T won 2nd place in the Mofilm/SXSW competition - a critically acclaimed international film contest.
His feature length documentary, Pass the Music, chronicling the Los Angeles music indie scene, was released in 2012. Amongst other projects, Maples is currently developing a short music based comedy film and working on feature script.

My short comedy film got into two festivals! We just played SF indie fest last week. The screening went great! It plays again next week. It is also playing in the Dam Short Film festival in Nevada.
